Combating Terrorism in the Trump Era

Eric Schmitt, a senior writer for the New York Times has numerous trips to the middle east and has reported on terrorism issues since 2007.  Schmitt is co-author with Thom Shanker of “Counterstrike: The Untold Story of America’s Secret Campaign Against Al Qaeda” published in 2011; the book will be available for purchase and signing after the forum.  He has shared in two Pulitzer Prizes with teams of New York Times reporters in 1999 and 2009.

Fighting terrorism has been one of the top items of the U.S. national-security agenda since 9/11.  The question is has our counterterrorism kept pace or evolved to keep up with such serious challenges?  Join us April 7th as we hear directly from Eric Schmitt a reporter who has stood and reported on much of this ground.
