Who are they? Why are they homeless? What does it really mean to be homeless in our community today? What are we doing as a community? And, what should we be doing? The Columbia Basin Badger Club will explore these questions and more in our June 27th Forum.
Speakers will include Tobaski Snipes, executive director of ANSIL (A New Start In Life), who works closely with the homeless from a service center in Kennewick’s Vista Way neighborhood, Wendy Robbins, who owns a dance studio on Vista Way and Chief Ken Hohenberg, a 40-year veteran with the Kennewick Police Department. Our speakers observe the effects of homelessness in our community daily but from opposite sides of the coin. Article to read: MRSC-Homelessness and the Limits of Enforcement
