In recent elections, classroom curriculum and library books regarding Critical Race Theory, U.S. history and gender issues have taken center stage. Some states have limited classroom and library content; others work to maintain them. This past legislative session, the Kennewick School Board passed a resolution in opposition to a proposed state law mandating the inclusion of historically marginalized groups.
The May 9 Badger Forum will address these issues and much more. The program will feature the perspectives of four local panelists: two school board members who hold very opposite views and two local parent-activists. This program will incorporate a new interactive format allowing questions to be addressed to the panelists not only from the audience but from other panelists.
Join us for what should prove to be an enlightening and lively program. Table Talk will follow. |
