Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), usually referred to simply as Planned Parenthood, is a non-profit organization that provides reproductive health services in the U.S. and internationally. PPFA is an affiliate of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and one of its larger members. PPFA has its roots in Brooklyn, New York, where Margaret Sanger opened the first birth control clinic in the U.S. She founded the American Birth Control League in 1921, which changed its name to "Planned Parenthood" in 1942. Planned Parenthood reports that it consists of approximately 174 affiliates and 700 health clinics in the United States and abroad Planned Parenthood directly provides health services, is involved in reproductive education efforts, and engages in legal and political efforts aimed at protecting and expanding reproductive rights.
PPFA is the largest single provider of reproductive health services, including abortion, in the United States. In 2013, PPFA reported seeing 2.7 million patients in 4.6 million clinical visits and performing a total of 10.6 million discrete services, including over 325,000 abortions. They have a combined revenue of US$1.3 billion, including roughly US$530 million in government funding such as Medicaid reimbursements. Throughout its history PPFA has experienced support, controversy, protests, and violent attacks.

Rachel was the host of her own radio show and served on the board of AZ Right to Life for five years.Rachel, who grew up in Bremerton, Wash., earned her bachelor's degree in political science and history at the University of Washington and her law degree at the University of Arizona.She lives in Phoenix with her husband and his four children.
Yohanna Kinberg is originally from Eugene, where her father was a Reform congregational rabbi, Rabbi Kinberg has lived in the Pacific Northwest most of her life. She has served as Associate Rabbi at Temple B'nai Torah in Bellevue for the past 11 years where she led the transformation of TBT's religious school and youth programming. She is familiar with all aspects of congregational work and is actively involved with several Jewish organizations, including Jewish Family Service, Hadassah, J Street, Women's Torah Project, and the Jewish Federation. Rabbi Kinberg also has strong commitments to Tikkun Olam, social justice, reproductive rights, the environment, and to Israel. She is married to Rabbi Seth Goldstein of Temple Beth Hatfiloh in Olympia. They have two sons.
